I am a 40 something mother of a wonderful child. My life outside of work is all about family and spending time with my child.
Prior to starting Joanne Douglas Mortgage Services, I had a successful 13 year career in a large financial institution, being both a manager and adviser during this time. I left in 2014 to become an estate agent to allow for a better work life balance and flexibility which was needed due to family illness.
I became an independent adviser during lockdown due to childcare and haven’t looked back since… I genuinely love my job as it gives me the oppertunity to help others and to meet so many interesting people. Nothing makes me happier than helping a client achieving their end goal, whether that be financing a property they never imagined would be theirs, being there to help if things go wrong and helping to navigate life’s financial twists and turns.
I pride myself on having a down to earth approach and my client’s needs are at the centre of everything I do. I like to fit in around their needs and work with them when it suits, whether that be over a cuppa in an afternoon or an evening meeting. I am always happy to oblige… after all, we all have an individual story and circumstance which is why I love my job.
As well as my son, I am happily married and we also have ‘fur’ babies (they were here before the 2 legged one), and I love being outside more than being inside, fitting in a holiday whenever we can.
